The folks at DisplayMate have just finished reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and their verdict is that it is "...the Best Performing Smartphone Display, earning DisplayMate’s highest ever A+ grade." According to them, the Galaxy Note 8 offers a 3K higher resolution display of 2960 x 1440 pixels which is certified by the UHD Alliance, allowing it to play the same 4K High Dynamic Range content produced for 4K UHD TVs. The Galaxy Note 8 is currently priced at RM3999 with pre-orders starting on 5 September 2017.

Announced during the unveiling of the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, it was indicated that the first-wave launch markets for the device will start selling in March 2017. We have just received fresh rumours that the Huawei P10 would be launched as early as 8 March 2017 in Malaysia!

According to reliable sources, EMU 5.0, Huawei and Honor's Android-based operating system will be coming soon. One of the major features it will apparently be bringing to compatible Huawei and Honor devices is machine-learning to avoid your device from "aging". Previously launched with the Huawei Mate 9, our source says that that particular feature will be available to devices from the Huawei P9 and Honor 8 onwards.

The Honor 8 is coming to Malaysia tomorrow and we'll be there for its big reveal but we managed to snag some time with the phone and check out its shiny 15-layer glass backside. Featuring a massive leap in design compared to previous Honor smartphones, the Honor 8 has a rounded metal frame with glass front and back that reflect light in various different ways.
Coming in black, white, sapphire blue and gold there will be 2 variants for the phone, one with 32GB storage and another with 64GB. Our initial pricing estimates have the 32GB storage version at RM1699 while the 64GB may go for RM1799 to RM1899. You can get the Honor 8 on 8 September 2016 complete with some extra freebies.

As previously reported, there was a speculation about the honor 8 releasing on 5 July 2016. There was also just one teaser, which didn't really say much except "Beauty Out of the Ordinary", however that can be cleared up now since Huawei Honor’s President of Business, Zhao George revealed the official launch date which is 11 July 2016 on a new teaser. The launching is scheduled at 6.30pm at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Group was recently quoted that the next Huawei phone will have a 2K or QHD display with at least 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. Previously, he held onto an adamant stance that no Huawei device would have a display larger than FHD or 1920 x 1080 or a camera sensor bigger than 13MP because there was no difference in quality and that it would use battery life inefficiently.
